Widow
"Where there is deep grief, there was great love."
At 23, most are planning out where they are going to travel to next with the love of their life or the way they want to decorate their first homes...
At 23, she had to bury her husband a week before his 22nd birthday.
At just 23, she became a widow.
She keeps going even when her world has flipped upside down.
That my dear, is strength.
You will hear over and over during loss and grief to "Stay strong" and people telling you how strong you are, but remember...it's okay to not feel so strong and to break down and cry. It's okay to feel angry, sad, calm... and cycle through all of the emotions. It is part of grieving and it's okay to feel that, as long as you keep pushing through. Let yourself grieve in the ways you need.
This was easily the hardest thing I have ever done within my career, but I was so honored to do so and capture all the raw moments for them. It has only further greatened my understanding of how important photography truly is.
-This intimate photo is shared with permission of the client, who is a fellow photographer. This photo was taken in a moment during her husbands wake.
She has made this about him and the celebration of his life and the amazing son, friend and husband he was instead of the accident. Victoria, you are an incredible woman and wife. Logan knew that and was so lucky to have you.
You are so loved.
